Last weekend , a group of friends and I decided to get rock-pile tickets to a Rockies game. After a jam-packed, rainy drive, we eventually made it to Coors Field just as the clouds were parting and the sun decided to reappear.

Now, I’ve been in the US for four years (whaaat?), and, strangely enough, I’ve never been to a baseball game! Since we all know how much fun I had at my first football game, I was not about to pass up the chance to watch professional baseball live.

As with most sporting events, the air was buzzing with energy. Hard-core fans dressed from top to toe in purple headed to their seats, while moms and dads were suckered into paying $10 per foam finger for their little ones. Looking for our seats, we passed food stall after food stall, the air thick with the scent of fried dough, pretzels, nachos, and other amazing fair.

Once we had located where our seats were, we wasted no time finding the essentials: hot dogs and beer.
I know you want a close-up of that beauty, right? A classic Rocky Dog, topped with grilled onions and peppers, relish, mustard, and ketchup, all washed down with a chilled Coors Light. American cuisine at it’s finest (and most over-priced).

Seriously, though, this was SO GOOD.

I could not have felt more American if I tried!

Of course, some of us were actually there to watch the game ^^

While some of us were there to test out the new Rio bar! ^^

Baseball is such a cool game. It’s fast-paced, dramatic, and just amazing to watch. More than a few balls flew into the audience, although nowhere near our cheapo seats . Still, how cool would it be to catch one of those??? Reminds me of this vine!

Afterwards, we went out to a few bars, and eventually made it home around one in the morning, where I promptly dove into bed and passed out within seconds.

Oh yeah, did I mention that the Rockies won? Obviously, SOMEONE was more interested in her hot dog than the actual game….oops!
