our wedding, part two

Who’s ready for round two??!
As I’ve probably mentioned, we decided to split our wedding into two occasions: a small ceremony on Friday followed by a bigger reception the next evening. The idea of an all-day wedding marathon sounded exhausting, and with so many friends from out of town, we wanted to spread things out to spend as much time with them as possible.
We held our reception at The Mainline, a local restaurant in Old Town with a fantastic rooftop patio, and we could not have been happier with our decision. The staff was so helpful, friendly, and wonderful, and the evening truly went off without a hitch. After months of planning and thinking and worrying, this was finally PARTY TIME!

Conrad and I met right before the party started to get a moment together before heading in.

We entered as husband and wife to a patio filled with our favorite people!

Margot, my sister and maid of honor, and Chase, Conrad’s brother and Best Man, then proceeded to bring the house down with their incredible speeches, leaving Conrad and I blubbering like babies.

Pretty sure this is when Chase mentioned Tobias, and I couldn’t keep it together 🙂

After some tears (HUGE understatement), we headed into our first dance!

Despite my tear-stained face, I’d honestly never been so happy as at that moment. In the arms of the person I love, surrounded by all our friends and family, dancing to a Joni Mitchell song. Weddings can be kind of a blur, but it was really at this moment that I could see just how incredibly and insanely lucky we were.

After some food and cake, it was really party time. And party we did!!

I’ll end this post with my favorite photo of the night.

It was such a magical night, filled with laughter, tears, dancing, eating, drinking, and more. I was a bit sad that it’s all over now, but going through all the photos takes me right back, and I feel so happy to have had such a wonderful wedding. It was better than we ever imagined it could be, and so much of that is due to our friends and family. You guys are seriously the BEST. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

P.S. And a big thank you to my new friend Daryl, who shot our reception. He’s another amazing photographer who is just starting out and he’s seriously, seriously talented so give his website a look if you need a photog in Fort Collins!
