Fall is here! Now, you know me and my lists…and it’s time for my fall to do list! Ironically, I leave for Phoenix this evening where we’ll be expecting a lovely 105°F (or 40°C for all non US-ers) all weekend long, but no matter! Here are some of the things I want to look forward to this fall. 1. Host a scary movie night with candy and classics (Hocus Pocus, Friday the 13th, Children of the Corn, etc.) […]

Sometimes I forget that I live in Colorado. Believe it or not, but much of CO is flat as a pancake, and you need to put in some miles to see anything spectacular. One of my favorite weekend activities is to explore my own state, so with an extra-long weekend for Labor Day, Conrad and I decided to drive to Colorado National Monument for some canyons and camping. After a seven+ hour car ride (#labordaytrafficfail), […]

What’s this? An actual outfit post??  Well, don’t get too excited, we’re not talking about a ball gown here.  A few weekends ago, Nick and I were driving around after some grocery shopping and he told me about this ‘ghost’ house on the outskirts of town. Not wanting to miss the light, we quickly made a detour.  I hate to admit it, but most of the time, you’ll probably see me in some variation of […]

On our third day in San Diego, we decided to take it easy and beach hop along the coast, leaving the camera in the car for fear of getting sand stuck in it. We lay on the sand, splashed in the waves, and ate some of the best Peruvian ceviches I’ve ever had in my life at Cafe Secret in Del Mar. On our final day, we were much more productive. We set off to […]

Hello! Welcome to part deux of our San Diego adventure! Sorry it’s taken me so long to get these up but we took a LOT of photos, as per usual. We decided to explore the world-famous San Diego Zoo on our second day, and it did not disappoint. We’re lucky we actually made it there, however, because on our way to the zoo we got lost I got us lost and we nearly crossed the […]

Hello! Happy Friday☺ What a week! Somehow, I’m still in catch-up mode. I’ve been meaning to post the rest of our San Diego photos all week, and I quite literally have not had one moment to do that! I promise to try to get them up next week. This weekend’s plans involve writing thank-you notes (yeah, still haven’t started that yet….), paying bills, reading assignments, doing homework, and hopefully, at some point, interacting with other humans. […]

Hey guys, Happy Friday! Hope all of you had a good week. Mine was BUSY! I don’t think I’ve shared this on the blog yet but I am currently enrolled in a Web Developer certificate at FRCC and I just started classes! I’m taking three credits, with two online classes and one ‘real’ class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I’ve been  out of school-mode for almost three years now so it feels really weird going […]
