snowy day

Right before we left for Sweden – more posts to come on that, by the way- our nephew contracted Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD), which is a real thing (it sounds made up to me) and very common with little ones.

Because it’s so contagious, little Max was put in ‘quarantine’ and made to stay at home for nearly two weeks. Conrad is on immunosuppressants due to his heart transplant, so we couldn’t even go visit for fear that he might contract it. When Max finally started feeling better, we made plans to meet up with Adrienne to say hello before our trip, which turned into a lovely stroll in the snow!

Max is very into his sled, so despite the lack of hills nearby, he insisted we pull him around. One-and-a-half-year-old’s are very bossy

I wish I was still small enough to be pulled around like that! Enjoy it while it lasts, Maxwell.
When I got tired, Uncle Conrad took over, with help from Haley.
(Not)

Happy boy!

I took advantage of the light to test out my new lens. I still need to practice, but I could not have asked for a cuter subject!

Haley started to get jealous, so she got some camera time, too.

I’m just love having family nearby! We feel very lucky to be able to watch this kid grow up.

Hope you’re having a great day!

xxLena
