the little black dress

An outfit post! At long last ☺

Temps are rising, and I am more than ready! I got to bust this little number out for a casual date night, and, let me tell ya, it felt SO GOOD to put something on and just go, without the usual gloves-hat-socks-boots-etc. routine.

This dress is a cheapie from Old Navy (which is currently having a huge spring sale) and I love how simple and feminine it feels.

Thanks to the nipped-in waist and full skirt, this dress is incredibly flattering. Plus, it’s not too short, so you could easily cover your shoulders with a cardigan or blazer to make it work-friendly.

Since we went to get some dinner downtown, I just put on my comfiest pair of heels, swiped on some lipstick, and grabbed a pair of sunnies. Outfit = done. Although, upon reflection, I could have steamed the dress a little to get some of the wrinkles out….but, oh well!

I also wore this beautiful piece that my friend Nicole’s fiance made for her bridesmaids (and, yes, I’m one of them!! So excited!). I am in LOVE. If you want something similar, definitely hit up Old Town Goldworks and ask for Ryan. See some more of their incredible designs here.

A fun little dress for a fun little date ❤
Here’s to a great week for everyone!

  2. I love this dress and feel like if I saw you in the street it would totally be an Old Navy commercial – “WHERE did you get that DRESS?!”
