Our big trip is finally over, and while I have so much to share with you, I want to take a moment and think of the events in Nice last night. And the shootings in Orlando. And the bombings in Brussels and Paris. And all of the awful displays of hatred all of over the world that don’t seem to end.
We are leaving Stockholm on such a high, still buzzing with all the joy we’ve had over the past two weeks seeing old friends, meeting new ones, laughing and crying (and often both at once) with family members. This news has definitely put a damper on that feeling. It’s just a drop in a large bucket of acts of terror around the world, but I’m beginning to feel like it won’t be long until the bucket overflows.
I promise to update as soon as I get all my photos together, but I feel too sad right now to work on that. Hug your loved ones extra tight today.
