The tension in the air is palpable, but I’m comforted by the fact that so many of us are feeling just as confused and saddened. In the next few weeks, I’m going to try to be extra kind both to myself and my fellow citizens.
Despite what ‘the people’ have chosen, I refuse to accept sexism, racism, exclusion, bigotry, intolerance, and xenophobia as normal, and I vow to always defend those who can’t defend themselves. In the end, love trumps hate. Always.
