You can click on the image to get a closer look, but essentially this is a collection of inspiring images, messages, goals, reminders, jokes, and whatever else I want to envision for myself in 2017. Some of them are my own photos, others are from around the web. While I won’t walk you through everything on my board, you can see that it depicts things like travel, creative projects, good food, family time, pets, fitness, adventure, enjoying the little things, new challenges, and more. What you see here may inspire you, or it might not. That’s ok! It’s not for everyone.
That said, I really encourage you to try a Vision Board, especially if you too are a visual learner who has a better time sticking to goals if they have an easily-accessible, visually stunning reminder of what those goals are. More important than the end-result is the actual process of intentionally thinking about what you want out of this year. Having to sit down and identify a few specific intentions for the year is not as easy as it looks! I had to think about those things that are most important to me and what I value most, and then I went out and found photos that remind me of those goals and help me remember why they’re important. Clearly identifying my goals makes them that much more attainable.
Now my Vision Board is set as my laptop wallpaper, and every time I glance at it, I get a little reminder of what I’m working towards and why I’m trying to achieve it. I love it!
So, what do you think? Are you going to try a Vision Board? Keep in mind they can be made however you want! If you prefer writing on a piece of paper, go for it. If you prefer using an online tool like Pinterest, have at it. Do what works for you, and start actively working towards your dreams. Good luck!
